11 K-pop Bands Where Almost All the Members also Act

It is not a simple task to turn one’s desire to be a K-pop idol into a reality. It requires a lot of hard work in a relatively short amount of time. Even after they have finished training and made their debut, they still have to give it their all if they want to do well in their profession.

These idols are mentally robust people who can handle the challenges they face. They are encouraged to look into other areas of interest rather than give up entirely. Some of them host music programmes or variety shows; others compose music or make albums; and still others are working on developing their acting skills.

The lineups of the K-pop groups that are listed below all feature members who have also dabbled in other disciplines, including acting. They have demonstrated their amazing talents by acting in a wide variety of roles in different types of dramas and films.

1. Girl’s Day

Girl’s Day is a girl group that was created in the year 2010 by Dream T Entertainment. At the beginning, the band was comprised of five individuals: Sojin, Minah, Jiin, Jisun, and Jihae. Hyeri and Yura joined the group not long after their debut, taking the places of Jiin, Jisun, and Jihae, who had left the group.

They did not issue a statement of disbandment; nonetheless, they did not renew their contract with Dream T Entertainment and instead joined a variety of new agencies in January of 2019. At this point, it looks like the four are putting their efforts into their own acting careers.

They have several acting ventures lined up for the year 2022. Moonshine, the drama series in which Hyeri appeared, came to an end in February. Sojin was the main star of the dramas Shooting Stars and Alchemy of Souls, as well as the movie When Spring Comes.

Yura was a cast member in the dramatic productions Now, We Are Breaking Up and Forecasting Love and Weather. During that time, Minah starred in the fantasy drama Delivery Man alongside Yoon Chan Young and Kim Min Seok.

2. SNSD

Only Taeyeon, Sunny, and Hyoyeon did not branch out into the world of acting during their time as members of SNSD. They have only made brief appearances in a handful of different dramas.

In the meantime, the remaining five members are making more and more appearances in various films and television shows. They are all working on acting projects that will premiere in 2022.

In the drama “The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate,” in which Song Joong Ki is starring, Tiffany will also play a role. In the drama “Good Job,” Yuri and Jung Il Woo appeared together again. In the continuing drama “If You Wish Upon Me,” Sooyoung looked really stunning in her role as a bubbly nurse.

Additionally, each of them is working on their own separate acting projects. Soon after, Cha Eunwoo made his return to acting in the film Decibel, and he is getting ready to play the role of a priest in the upcoming drama Island. 10. WINNER

YG Entertainment’s first attempt at producing a boy band, WINNER, made their debut on August 17, 2014. They just recently published their fourth extended play on June 20, 2022, and it is titled Holiday.

Hoony is the only member of the group who has not yet worked in the theatre or movie industries. The others all have at least some experience in these fields. Yoon, the head of the group, has appeared on a number of well-known television shows, including Prison Playbook (2017–2018), Kairos (2020), and Voice 4. (2021).

In the movie Seoul Vibe (2022), in which he plays the role of the leader of a group of racers, Mino makes his acting debut. He worked alongside Yoo Ah In, Go Kyung Pyo, and Ong Seong Wu in several productions. And last but not least, there is Jinu, who has appeared in the dramas Love for a Thousand More (2016), Magic Cellphone (2016), and Delivery Man (2016). (2022).

11. B1A4

Jinyoung and Baro both left B1A4 in November of 2018, leaving the group with only three members. Acting was another area of attention for the two celebrities. It has been revealed that Song Kang will be joining Jinyoung in the cast of Sweet Home 2 and 3, and that Jinyoung will make her return in the film Summer Vacation. In addition, Baro will soon be seen in the upcoming films Fearsome and The Pinwheel.

Gongchan and CNU also have their own acting ventures in addition to their continuing roles as members of a band that is still functioning. Both the upcoming film Mr. Boss (2020) and the drama Unintentional Love Story (2022) feature Gongchan in starring roles. In the anthology series Find the First Prize on TVN, CNU is working hard to achieve his goal of becoming a public servant (2022).
