SHINee concludes their three-EP “Story of Light” series from earlier this year with a repackage album, “Epilogue”, featuring the new song “Countless”. The album is comprised of the last three EP’s songs, providing them in a neat and tidy format for new and old listeners alike. “Countless” is a steady and contemplative song that shows SHINee’s emotional side.

With lingering feelings of nostalgia and even a faint ennui, the song brings out each vocalist’s sincere emotions of longing, as they sing that “I have countless reasons why I love you more and more”.¬†Surprisingly, the MV features no dancing from the group that is widely considered one of the most talented acts in the genre.

Instead, the four members of SHINee stand with their backs pressed in a circle, looking out at the tableau around them with long, quiet gazes that offer a serious attitude for the viewers to digest. The MV itself is aesthetic, offering bright, vividly colored backdrops as the boys lounge in various states of comfort and subtle designer fashion.
