Holland Reveals Teaser Images for Twin Single “I’m So Afraid”

Holland, Korea’s first openly gay idol, has released teaser images for Volume 2 of his twin-single project. “I’m So Afraid” teases a darker, more ominous reality for the singer. One of the two images depicts an individual with a purple bag over their head, speaking to a wider history of targeted hate-crimes that have been leveled against minority communities in the past. Whether this is the singer’s intent is not certain, but the image remains evocative of what we might be able to expect from the upcoming track.

Holland previously released the first single of his project, “I’m Not Afraid”, a dreamy, indie-pop song that spoke to a youthful hopefulness for a reality without restraint and fear.

The new single will be released on July 17th, 2018.
